Billings Brewery, between 24th and 23rd Streets

The top of the Billings Brewery between 24th and 23rd Streets was aglow at night its electric sign "DRINK OLD FASHION BEER" made up of 920 white and yellow light bulbs that depicted beer flowing from a titled bottle into an empty glass. In 1920 prohibition closed down the brewery, begun in 1899. It re-opened in 1933, but closed its doors in 1951. The building was torn down in 1959.
